The Blact Cat
The St. Christopher Zeller Schwarze Katz is produced in the village of Zell along Germany's Mosel River. The legend is, there was a black cat in one of the most popular cellars along the Mosel, that would each vintage aggressively guard a barrel of Zeller wine that was cellared alongside many other wine barrels.
The locals and wine merchants presumed that the wine in that barrel the cat so heavily guarded was the best and most special of the vintage.
